If you don’t know which video surveillance or building security system you need, you can look at frequently asked questions or use the feedback form.
The analog camera transmits the CCTV standard image to the receiver in analog form via a dedicated 75 ohm coaxial cable. Depending on the quality of the cable, the transmission distance is from 200 to 500 meters. An analog signal is susceptible to interference and interference from power lines. The resolution of the analog signal is measured in TVL and is 600TVL for the CCTV standard. When digitizing, the resolution is a maximum of 704×576 pix, which is 0.4 Mpix. CCTV format receivers are unified. This means that any analog camera can be connected to any DVR.
It all depends on the situation and the required task. CCTV analog video surveillance is best suited for a small object where it is necessary to quickly, inexpensively and easily solve the problem of organizing video control, while not requiring high resolution and image detail. To operate and maintain such a system is simple and any technician will understand. The analog system is also convenient for real-time situational monitoring, as there is no delay in transmitting video.
Analog video surveillance of HD-CVI and AHD standards allows you to organize effective situational video surveillance with a high degree of detail in a small and medium-sized object, where the distance to the camera is up to 200 m.
IP video surveillance is a universal solution for any situation, but requires qualified personnel for maintenance and operation. For facilities equipped with modern infrastructure with primarily security surveillance tasks, IP technologies are best suited.
Of the most obvious, it is worth noting the difference in the quality of manufacturing, the percentage of defects, the probability of failure, difficulties with repairs and maintenance, and technical support.
Buying equipment of a well-known brand, of course, there is a certain payment for a big name, but at the same time you can be sure of the high quality of the products and their technical excellence. By purchasing an unknown cheap camera you get a “pig in a poke” and whether the result will be successful already depends not only on how the installation organization does the work.
Perhaps there are two approaches. The first is the use of wireless IP cameras, the second is the use of standard cameras that are connected via Ethernet and signal transmission over the air using wireless modules (radio bridges, repeaters, etc.).
Wireless Wi-Fi cameras – an inexpensive solution for a small office, home, cottage. Practice shows that more than 4 cameras with a Wi-Fi interface cannot be installed within the same system. In addition, it should be borne in mind the possibility of interference, omissions, temporary interruptions in the transmission of images. Data recording in such systems is easier to organize on the built-in cameras SD-cards.

If at the facility it is not possible to lay cable routes between two LAN segments, then it is possible to use professional radio bridges capable of providing wide bandwidth and real-time transmission without delay. Using data encryption technologies makes transmission over the air absolutely safe.
So, the use of Wi-Fi cameras is possible for local systems of class SOHO. The use of professional radio channel equipment is advisable for large systems and distributed objects, where there is no way to lay the main cable between sections of the system.
For an IP camera, this is possible through the WEB interface or using a special mobile application. If you have an SD card installed in your IP camera, then by connecting remotely you can view including and the archive recorded by the camcorder.
It should be borne in mind that each remote connection to the IP camera opens a new separate data stream. The number of connections is limited by the capabilities of the camera and data network. If broadcast broadcasting and the ability to connect a large number of users to one camera at the same time are required, then installation of additional equipment for multi-user access and a wide Internet channel are required.
If you need to access the image from an analog camera, then this is possible through the WEB client or mobile application, but the connection will be made to the DVR or video server to which the camera is connected.
